Steve & Barry's

I have never been to a Steve & Barry's until today. The one in Champaign, up by Sam's Club is closing down this weekend. I went to see if they had any good shelving they were getting rid of for a great price (for our garage), but instead I found some great deals on kids clothes.

Everything in the store is 4/$5
(or $2.98 each if you buy an amount that isn't a multiple of 4, but that would be silly)
(unfortunately, it doesn't include shelving)

I really had to restrain myself, but if want to stock up on baby shower gifts or need some clothes, it's a great buy! They have clothes for all ages and genders, but I mostly stuck to the baby stuff because my time was limited. No promises on the grown-up clothes. You might have to do some digging to find the sizes you want, but for the price, it's definitely worth it!

Pictured above are a few of the things I got: some baby boy gifts and matching spring/summer dresses for the girl cousins on my side of the family!

Rumor is that all the stores are closing (It was just a few when they filed bankrupcy the first time, but now it is all of them). We have one near us in Ohio, maybe we should head there tomorrow! Thanks for the heads up!

I am so mad. I have never seen a deal like that on a Britaz before. I just made an account at slickdeals and put car seat on deal alert. Thanks for the tip. I also just got a CVS card and bought some batteries...and diapers. Thanks for all the tips. Can't wait to finally meet you. Jessie

You can check their website and see the stores that are closing. It looks like the one near you is still open, darbie. Apparently mine has been closing for a while, with prices getting cheaper and cheaper. Last night I was thinking that it's a good thing I didn't find this place until the very end, because I would have been willing to pay the higher sale prices for these things. Thankfully I only tempted myself when each temptation was only $1.25!

Way to go Jessie! Be careful... CVS is addicting, but if you play it right, you'll never pay for toiletries again! I am stocked on shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, girly items, etc (that I got free) for while now!

O.K. so I have a question. I bought batteries at CVS. I got my $15. I came home, realized that I needed different size batteries. I took them back. Returned them, and bought the size I needed. He gave me my old credit back and a new one. Is this normal? I asked if he wanted my old care bucks reciept and he said, No. Is it automatcially void? I have a hard time thinking that people could just buy and return things and keep the credit. Do you know better than I do? Thanks. Sorry to keep bothering you. Jessie

Let me make sure I understand... they didn't take back your ECBs when you returned tha batteries, then, when you bought the right size, you got a second ECB printout? So you now have $30 in ECBs? I thought they required you to give back the ECBs if you return the items (at least that's what Walgreens does with their Register Rewards). Weird. I don't know if the first one will work or not. Probably I would just use the 2nd one.

Let me know if this makes sense or answered your question at all.

Oh, and you're not bugging me. In fact, I love knowing that people are actually benefitting from the things I post!

Once, a few years ago, we stumbled upon a S&B store that was closing. We went hog wild and bought way too much stuff for about $20. :)
Everytime I get my CVS ad I smile and think of you!
